New Zealand provides a system for the national registration or flagging of yachts. This is
administered by Maritime New Zealand in two parts. Vessels registered under Part A provides a title for the vessel and facilitates the
recording of mortgages. Part B registration only provides evidence of nationality and does not confer title or
facilitate mortgages.
New Zealand is an island country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean.
It consists of two main landmasses, the North Island and the South Island, and more than 700 smaller islands.
